Over the years, EfW facility has transformed from a facility that was originally intended primarily for sanitation and waste utilisation in order to ensure its diversion from landfills to a facility, that is now becoming an effective tool for decarbonization and energy self-sufficiency of the City of Brno.<\/span><\/p>\n

The planned project of a new incineration line, which upon completion will represent the most energy-efficient incineration line in the Czech Republic, is about to apply maximum available technological solutions with the aim to strengthen its irreplaceable position of the base load energy facility. Anticipated capacity of the new line increases the total capacity of the facility from the existing 248,000 tons to annually 392,000 tons of energy utilised waste, while such produced energy will significantly contribute to increasing the city’s self-sufficiency in terms of heat and electricity production for its citizens together with decreasing of CO2 emissions (up to the 26% within the municipal area).<\/span><\/p>\n

EfW facility in the City of Brno is considered as an integral part of carbon-free future together with the integration of emission-free sources and energy storage systems. However, the development of such a project is not easy task and usually brings considerable difficulties, which sometimes set complicated obstacles to the successful implementation of such a project especially from the legislative, public or financial standpoint.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since 2014, he has worked in the field of energy sector, firstly in the construction of turbines for large coal and biomass power plants in the Czech Republic and abroad, and subsequently in the project development of power plant\u2019s EPC projects for waste and biomass in leading Czech supply companies.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since 2018, he has been the project manager of the strategic project of SAKO Brno, a.s. for EfW facility extension, where his main task is project management from the initial phase of the conceptual design to successful completion.<\/span><\/p>\n
