It emerged from the most recent data of the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic.
\n<\/span>Data from the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic on municipal solid waste for 2020 show that Slovak households produced 2.43 million tons of municipal waste in 2020.
\n<\/span>In 2021, we recorded a further increase in waste production to a volume of 2.7 million. tons.<\/span><\/p>\n

The good news is that the share of recycled waste jumped to 44% in 2020 and five percent more in 2021, i.e. to 49%. For the first time in history, less than half of municipal waste ended up in landfills. 48% in 2020 and 41% in 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n

Expressed it in tons, in 2021 more than 1.1 million tons of municipal solid waste ended up in landfills. These figures clearly show that a long-term environmental problem in Slovakia is a high rate of landfilling. Landfilling is considered to be the worst ecological way of waste handling, which also contributes to the creation of the greenhouse effect.<\/span><\/p>\n

Only approximately 9% of municipal solid waste was recovered for electricity or heat in waste-to-energy facilities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Slovak cement plants can significantly help this situation. Currently, they recycle more than 370,000 tons of waste annually. This capacity could theoretically be increased up to 500,000 tons after the necessary investments have been made.<\/span><\/p>\n

Slovak cement plants currently use alternative fuels, which are mainly made from material from abroad (approx. 90%) such as Austria, Italy, Slovenia, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

The main goal of the cement industry in the coming years is to change this situation in favor of materials originating from Slovakia. Unfortunately, the situation is such that landfilling in Slovakia is more advantageous than separating and processing waste for the purpose of producing alternative fuels. He completed his qualification within the ASAMER Group by studying MBA at the LIMAK University in Linz, Austria in 2011.<\/span><\/p>\n

He held several positions in the ASAMER Group, among others he led the construction of the new kiln line of the Lukavac cement plant in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2012, he became the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the CEMMAC cement plant. Under his leadership, the cement plant expanded its activities to include the segment of production of ready-mix concrete.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2013, he was elected as the President of Association of Slovak cement producers. \nZ \u00fadajov \u0160tatistick\u00e9ho \u00faradu Slovenskej republiky o komun\u00e1lnom odpade za rok 2020 vypl\u00fdva, \u017ee slovensk\u00e9 dom\u00e1cnosti v roku 2020 vyprodukovali 2,43mil. ton komun\u00e1lneho odpadu.<\/span>
\nV roku 2021 sme zaznamenali \u010fal\u0161ie nav\u00fd\u0161enie produkcie odpadu a to na objem 2,7 mil. ton.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dobrou spr\u00e1vou je, \u017ee podiel recyklovan\u00e9ho odpadu posko\u010dil v roku 2020 na 44 % a v roku 2021 e\u0161te o p\u00e4\u0165 percent vy\u0161\u0161ie t.j. na 49%. Prv\u00fdkr\u00e1t v hist\u00f3rii skon\u010dila na skl\u00e1dkach menej ako polovica komun\u00e1lneho odpadu. 48 % v roku 2020 a 41% v roku 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ak to vyjadr\u00edme v ton\u00e1ch tak v roku 2021 skon\u010dilo na skl\u00e1dkach viac ako 1,1 mil. ton komun\u00e1lneho odpadu. Tieto \u010d\u00edsla jasne ukazuj\u00fa, \u017ee dlhodob\u00fdm environment\u00e1lnym probl\u00e9mom Slovenska je vysok\u00e1 miera skl\u00e1dkovania. Skl\u00e1dkovanie je pova\u017eovan\u00e9 za ekologicky najhor\u0161\u00ed sp\u00f4sob nakladania s odpadmi, ktor\u00fd navy\u0161e prispieva k tvorbe sklen\u00edkov\u00e9ho efektu.<\/span><\/p>\n

Iba pribli\u017ene 9 % komun\u00e1lneho odpadu sa zhodnotilo na elektrick\u00fa energiu alebo teplo v zariadeniach na energetick\u00e9 vyu\u017eitie odpadu.<\/span><\/p>\n

Slovensk\u00e9 cement\u00e1rne vedia tejto situ\u00e1cii v\u00fdrazne pom\u00f4c\u0165. V s\u00fa\u010dasnosti zhodnocuj\u00fa ro\u010dne viac ne\u017e 370 tis\u00edc ton odpadu. T\u00fato kapacitu by po realiz\u00e1cii nevyhnutn\u00fdch invest\u00edci\u00ed vedeli teoreticky zv\u00fd\u0161i\u0165 a\u017e na 500 tis\u00edc ton.<\/span><\/p>\n

Slovensk\u00e9 cement\u00e1rne moment\u00e1lne vyu\u017e\u00edvaj\u00fa alternat\u00edvne paliv\u00e1, ktor\u00e9 s\u00fa vyroben\u00e9 hlavne z materi\u00e1lu zo zahrani\u010dia (cca. 90%) ako Rak\u00fasko, Taliansko, Slovinsko at\u010f.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hlavn\u00fdm cie\u013eom cement\u00e1rskeho priemyslu v najbli\u017e\u0161\u00edch rokoch je t\u00fato situ\u00e1ciu zmeni\u0165 v prospech materi\u00e1lov poch\u00e1dzaj\u00facich zo Slovenska. Bohu\u017eia\u013e je situ\u00e1cia tak\u00e1, \u017ee skl\u00e1dkovanie na Slovensku je v\u00fdhodnej\u0161ie ako separovanie a spracovanie odpadov za \u00fa\u010delom v\u00fdroby alternat\u00edvnych pal\u00edv.
