Currently, there are 1,322 facilities in operation for the production of full-fledged substitutes for natural gas from renewable sources \u2013 biomass and biowaste. However, this is still not enough to meet the conditions and goals of the EU taxonomy. Can they be achieved faster? And what contribution can the Czech and Slovak Republics make?<\/span><\/p>\n

In his presentation, the technical director of the Energy financial group Pavel Bure\u0161 will try to respond to these and other questions, as well as describe obstacles and successes of the biomethane sector within the Czech Republic and Slovakia.<\/span><\/p>\n

Energy financial group is an investment group that started the very first Czech production of biomethane, which is supplied to the distribution network from its waste biogas station in Rapot\u00edn. In addition to this station, which is built by EFG itself, the holding also owns biogas stations EFG Vy\u0161kov BPS and EFG Vysok\u00e9 M\u00fdto BPS, which are also due to start production of this “green gas” soon. All biogas stations in the EFG portfolio serve as facilities for the ecological disposal of biodegradable waste, which thanks to them finds further use and is not landfilled non-ecologically. They focus on recycling gastro waste and do not use purpose-grown crops.
