The availability of traditional forest biomass is currently limited to a large extent by the management capacity of Czech forests, and in some regions, demand for energy sources already exceeds local supply. In the future, therefore, it will not be possible to rely solely on further increases in wood chip consumption; it will also be necessary to make greater use of alternative biomass sources.<\/p>\n

In this presentation, I would like to highlight the potential of alternative biomass fuels such as straw, hay, fast-growing woody plants, and other agricultural biomass. These individual fuels differ not only in their technical properties and availability but also in terms of sustainability requirements and emissions. For larger energy sources, it is now necessary, among other things, to demonstrate greenhouse gas emission savings, which can reach the required level of 80%. The resulting savings are influenced not only by the efficiency of converting fuel into energy but also, very significantly, by the type of biomass, the method of its acquisition, processing, and transportation.<\/p>\n

In conclusion, the presentation will also focus on the use of ash from biomass combustion. Since graduating, he has been working at the Czech Biomass Association (CZ Biom) as a Project Manager, Head of the Solid Biomass Section, and member of the Board. His main areas of expertise include bioenergy legislation, sustainability criteria, and greenhouse gas emission savings.<\/p>\n

At CZ Biom, he provides advisory services to companies on biomass sustainability, certification, greenhouse gas emission savings calculations, and related regulatory requirements. CZ Biom is also the national partner of the SURE certification scheme for Czechia and Slovakia, supporting compliance with the requirements of the RED III Directive.<\/p>\n

Do budoucna proto nebude mo\u017en\u00e9 spol\u00e9hat pouze na dal\u0161\u00ed navy\u0161ov\u00e1n\u00ed spot\u0159eby lesn\u00ed \u0161t\u011bpky a bude pot\u0159eba v\u00edce pracovat tak\u00e9 s alternativn\u00edmi zdroji biomasy.<\/p>\n

V p\u0159\u00edsp\u011bvku bych proto r\u00e1d zm\u00ednil potenci\u00e1l paliv, jako je sl\u00e1ma, seno, rychle rostouc\u00ed d\u0159eviny nebo dal\u0161\u00ed zem\u011bd\u011blsk\u00e1 biomasa. Jednotliv\u00e1 paliva se p\u0159itom li\u0161\u00ed nejen sv\u00fdmi technick\u00fdmi vlastnostmi a dostupnost\u00ed, ale tak\u00e9 z pohledu po\u017eadavk\u016f na udr\u017eitelnost a emise. U v\u011bt\u0161\u00edch energetick\u00fdch zdroj\u016f je dnes mimo jin\u00e9 nutn\u00e9 prokazovat \u00fasporu emis\u00ed sklen\u00edkov\u00fdch plyn\u016f, kter\u00e1 m\u016f\u017ee dosahovat po\u017eadovan\u00e9 \u00farovn\u011b 80 %. V\u00fdslednou \u00fasporu ovliv\u0148uje nejen \u00fa\u010dinnost p\u0159em\u011bny paliva na energii, ale velmi v\u00fdrazn\u011b tak\u00e9 druh biomasy, zp\u016fsob jej\u00edho z\u00edsk\u00e1n\u00ed, zpracov\u00e1n\u00ed a dopravy.<\/p>\n

Na z\u00e1v\u011br se p\u0159\u00edsp\u011bvek zam\u011b\u0159\u00ed tak\u00e9 na vyu\u017eit\u00ed popela ze spalov\u00e1n\u00ed biomasy.
